IJ Partners in mission
The members of the IJ Fraternity commit themselves to deepen their understanding of the Spirituality of Blessed Nicholas Barre which is the inspiration of the Infant Jesus Mission in all its expressions. They celebrate the spirit that has brought them together, has sustained them and informs them in the way they work and live to promote the Kingdom of God. They meet monthly to study the IJ spirit and pray together.
Join Us As Volunteers or Lay Partners
As our partners in mission or volunteers, we respond to the cries of the poor and the needs of children, youth and women especially.
Myanmar Teacher Training
Our Sisters and Lay Partners work together on this ministry in Myanmar. Presently, apart from ministering to the people in a few cities in Myanmar, we have started a Teachers' Training Programme for those who work in the Boarding houses. This year, a third batch of students have been offered the course.
ViengKiang, ChiangRai - Education of Hmong Children
The Sisters work with the Thai missionary society to provide accommodation for Hmong children from the surrounding hill tribe villages. Staying at this centre enables the children to attend the local government school.
Nigeria
The Sisters reach out to the youth in Jalingo and Ganye. They provide literacy programmes and skills in centres for women. They are also involved in pastoral work and catechetics besides education and formation in "little schools".
Financial support is needed to sponsor children to go to school and for teaching resources.
