Our Communities

Our IJ Sisters serve in different parts of Singapore. Originally started as a single community in Victoria Street IJ Town Convent (now known as CHIJMES), it has now spread to many parts of Singapore island.

 

IJ Sisters Provincialate @ Chestnut Drive (1852)

IJ Sisters Community @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 2 (1854)

The Sisters have given this premises for the use of the social ministry of children. 

IJ Sisters Community @ Cooling Close (1960)

The elderly and retired IJ Sisters  are residing in this community.

IJ Sisters Community @ Chestnut Drive (1968)

Previously known as "Girls Town", it now houses a community of  Sisters  and it is the venue for Retreats, Seminars and Days of Reflection especially for students.

IJ Sisters Community @ Martia Road (1969)

A community of sisters reside here.

IJ Sisters Community @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 (1982)

This is the residence of our IJ Provincial Councillors. 

IJ Sisters Community @ St.Teresa Home, Upper Thomson (2004)

The three resident IJ Sisters here provide emotional and spiritual support to the residents of the Home whenever necessary.

IJ Sisters Community @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 (2005)

Currently the IJ Sisters residing here  do outreach services at  Mount Alvernia Hospital and Hospice and are caregivers to the elderly.

IJ Sisters Community @ Jurong St. 52 (2010)

The  IJ Sisters in this community help in the parish  as well as reach out to the neighbours and those in need, providing spiritual support and guidance. 

IJ Sisters Novitiate @ Chestnut Drive (2008)

This is a place of Formation for those aspiring to become IJ Sisters and those searching to find their vocation in life.

IJ Sisters in Nursing Homes

Sisters who need nursing care are in the Nursing Homes at Villa Francis, St Joseph's Home  and St Theresa's Home run by Catholic Welfare Services.
